It Was Bound to Happen

I knew it was coming, but didn't think it would happen so soon.  It was, however, inevitable.......
Last night, my BFF Linda and I were at a meeting.  We had to sit in the front row, because I made us late and there were no other seats.  Linda did warn the minister in charge that we were going to be trouble.  First, as I was asking a question, I said "God" in a swear-wordy-my-mom-would-slap-me-sort-of-way.  Right in front of the religious. That's no surprise really....
But then "IT" happened....I knew it would, just not, well, so early in our relationship.  I was asking another question, and forgot the word....my BFF Linda knew right away what it was, and stage-whispered it to me.
It's official--Linda and I are now the old couple.

365 Days of Photos

Shortly before New Years Day, my cool friend Kat posted information about a new project:  The 365 Project.  The very basic premise is to take a photo every day for the next year.  Well, I love to take random photos, and I  want to be cool like Kat, so I joined right up!
And, so far, so good--I actually have taken a photo every day.  I won't bore you with every single one (although I think they are interesting), but I thought I would occasionally post some of them here, on my very own blog.
Here's a sample from the first 9 days of the year:

The first day of the new year was a quiet one, and Charlie took full advantage of Peter's empty bed.

Is there anything more sad this time of year than taking down your holiday decorations?  I don't think there is.

And, then it was time to head back to work.  Sigh.  This is what I encountered within minutes of arriving.  I just kept repeating, "This is job-security....This is job-security...."  I really am glad people still read books.

This one I titled, "Words to Be Used".  I don't think I use the word "pink" enough.  Pink...pink...pink:  I have now fulfilled my first quota of the year!

And, it's one of my favorite times of the year--time for women's basketball!  I maxed the contrast on this one, and was pleased with the result.  I was also pleased with the result of the game!  Let's go, Boilers!

We have had some sunny days recently, which has meant we've had some spectacular sunsets.  Every sunny day in winter is a blessing, and I don't take them for granted.

It was time for the cat's annual trip to the vet, which we begin planning days in advance.  Charlie hears the sound of the carrier door, and he's gone.  Somehow, we always find a way to wrangle him in.  As you can see, he's less than pleased.

Static electricity!  Newspaper bag!!  Coolish photo!

This morning, I was exercising (really I was!)!  I looked up, and loved the perspective.  Luckily, Kiki stayed in position until I got my camera...and the shot.

I gotta tell you, this is fun!  Thanks, Kat!
