One evening, while driving, I spotted a large number of geese in an empty lot adjacent to an industrial park--they seem very comfortable in their chosen home.
The next night, I noticed the truck in front of me had a unique arrangement of lights. Shortly after I snapped this, the "In God We Trust" license-plated truck ran the red light. Too bad I didn't get a good photo of the license plate number!
One day, I went to the home of a friend of mine, to help her go through some items belonging to her daughter, also a friend of mine, who died far too young. It was a good afternoon--we laughed, we cried, we talked a lot--it was a time for healing. On the way out, I noticed these tiny flowers in her front yard. The first flowers of Spring, a sign of hope and beauty at the end of an emotional afternoon.
The first night of the women's Big Ten Tournament, we went to a local bar/restaurant to watch the game. I have to tell you--the bartender was a total ass to us, but watching the women win made for a great end to the evening!
The street out in front of our house has been under "re-construction" for 4 months now (we thought the project would take 4 WEEKS, tops). At least we have a driveway and asphalt on the road, so I really can't complain. But just when we thought things were returning to "normal", this truck appears in front of our house. In case you can't see it clearly, it's a huge truck, with TWO trailers behind it. On one trailer are three huge augers--they are clearly boring a hole, or holes, somewhere in the vicinity (but not on our street). It's a mystery as to why they chose to park the truck where they did.

With all the sunny weather, it shouldn't have surprised me when I spotted this crocus in our yard. But I was quite surprised, because we don't normally have crocuses in our yard!
One day this week, I got to Skype with Erika and Mike! Made my day to see them! Here, Erika is showing me the necklace Mike designed and had made for her for Valentine's Day.....(he's so sweet!). And yes, this is my "office".....
Good thing I went to the basement before going to work, because I spotted the leaky water heater before it became a real disaster! I used a pin hole setting to take this one....A last shot of a faithful appliance...
I've re-discovered the macro setting on my camera, and this one is a favorite!
