Sarah Palin announces, on a Friday of a holiday weekend, in a hastily-called news conference, that she is resigning as governor of Alaska.
Her reason? She is not running for re-election, and therefore does not want to be a lame duck. So, she'll be gone by the end of the month.
WTF!!!!!

Maybe she she's been hiking the Appalachian Trail?
Either there's another family crisis or she's steeling herself for a Senate or presidential run. Wow, it must be a trip to live in her fantasy world.
